ALP’s ‘private power price claim’

On seeking information about both political parties’ energy policies, I asked Minister Bowen’s advisers whether wholesale energy prices would fall. I was told that 10-15 per cent would be in the next five years based on their ‘modelling’. The PM dismissed that modelling a few days later. It is important that industry, IFDA’s food distributor members, be provided with accurate information on an issue that is significantly impacting businesses along the food supply chain. We have also spoken to the shadow Minister for Energy, Ted O’Brien and are seeking further information.
